Lifelinks

Lifelinks groups are small groups linking in with the local community.  Meeting in different Community Centres and Church Halls in the city, Lifelinks helps people with a learning disability to become more involved in their local community through voluntary work.

There are also opportunities to learn new skills, as well as to meet and make new friends.

Helping the local community through voluntary work is an important part of the day. Some examples of the voluntary work that Lifelinks do are: a shopping service for older people; delivering newsletters and leaflets; or gardening.

Lifelinks groups have lots of fun together.
At the hall where they are based they might prepare and cook lunch; work on the computer; or have an arts and crafts afternoon. Or they may go out and visit local places of interest.
